Anger is one of our survival instincts designed to ensure that we are safe and can protect ourselves. It is a primitive response that increases our physical strength so we can defend ourselves if we are surrounded by danger.  Some degree of anger is necessary from an evolutionary perspective. Anger is also a destructive force that can result in destructive social consequences that can severely harm and destroy personal and business relationships, anger can lead to marital discord or divorce, lead to poor decision making and bad job performance.
